![]() ![]() I thought it was sweet that Kevin and Katie got along together so well as siblings but that their idea of playing with each other involves really high-risk prank calls fooling around with innocent people who are working low-pay jobs to survive cause unlike Kevin and Katie, their dad is NOT an Oscar shows host or a millionaire TV talk show host. I loved how Jimmy Kimmel was able to get his own kids Kevin and Katie to participate in prank calls, I admired the sharp irony in having his own kids use profanity and bad language to mess around with adults on the phone, it shows that sometimes kids can be smarter (and have dirtier minds) than adults. Other than Willie, I think Bobby Fletcher was the best crank caller mainly because he uses the Bait-and-Switch method and tells really hilarious lies but he's still less superior than Junkyard Willie. ![]() ![]() He actually got his callers to yell angry and throw a tantrum on the phone making pathetic fools of themselves, but I'm guessing that's cause Junkyard Willie's puppeteer RECEIVED, NOT DIALED wrong numbers by purchasing very similar-looking numbers to the UPS. I think Junkyard Willie did the best job out of all the Crank Yankers, which is why I enjoy writing / typing about him the most on this tropes page. I mean, I understand it's hard to find easily agitated victims who will stoop as low as to scream on a telephone (as though that ever solves a communication problem) but a lot of the sketches are hollow like inflated balloons because the prank callers fail to actually do anything to their victims besides confuse them or make the victims talk on and on (Chew the fat, ask more vague questions, express their curiosity in the prank callers' vocabulary). The sad thing about "Crank Yankers" is that the call victims can either be too stupid or too calm and patient to realize they're being trolled or insulted and so the conversations between the victims and callers can start to sound too monotone and ordinary (or dull). If the prank calls make you laugh, then you should be able to appreciate most of the humor in this movie too.Series GREAT SHOW!! But I think only 15% of the prank calls on the show are actually funny I can't imagine anyone who's not into the Touch Tone Terrorist prank calls "getting" this movie, so be sure to at least go to the TTT website and listen to all the hilarious prank calls clips. All in all, it was a fun movie and I'm sure I'll see it again. I know it's stupid to complain about the plot in a movie like this, but I'm doing it anyway. It was all fun to watch and I admit that I laughed a lot, but after awhile it seemed like it was just a bunch of bad SNL skits all strung together that would never end. It started out promising as a movie about a bunch of shipping company employees doing wacky things, but eventually went all over the place with each character having their own crazy set of misadventures. And there were a lot of extras, most of them seeming to be plucked from the sketchiest strip clubs available. The 3 main characters did an excellent job on their parts, but all the extras were pretty awful. Every line of the main character's voice was dubbed over and I didn't notice a single discrepancy with the mouth/voice, which was impressive too. For a low budget film, it seems like they spared no expense making this movie look great. I was constantly amazed with the professional looking sets and props. It was a fun movie to watch and I will definitely be watching it again, but probably never again while I'm completely sober. I was only slightly let down, as I wasn't expecting much from it. ![]() I was excited to see the movie and watched it with a few friends this week. Most of their prank calls are brilliant and, just like the Jerky Boys, RePete created some awesome, lovable characters in his calls - Blade, Willie and JimBob. I've been a fan of the Touch Tone Terrorists for more than 10 years now. Fine, okay, I'm exaggerating in the title just a little. ![]()
